ChapelTECH is Jared Robinson.
I am from the North Shore of Massachusetts. I have been working on computers since the mid 1980s starting with Commodore VIC-20s and Commodore 64s. In the 1990s, I began repairing PCs.
I had begun doing small repairs in my house for friends and family and by 1999 I got a job with CompUSA as a technician. By the time I left in 2001, I had become the highest earning technician for the company with only a 26-28 hour schedule. I went to work with a Dell provider in December of 2001 as a help desk analyst as the lead technician until the contract was outsourced in March of 2004.
In September 2004, I worked as the Network, Systems and Security Administrator for an automotive dealership chain. If it involved a piece of technology, I was responsible for it. Phones, network, websites, general repair, project management. At the end of 2005, I began consulting as a master technician for CompUSA for 3 hours a week until they began their national storewide closeouts. I left the dealer in 2008 to work for a private company.
I continue to do independent repairs, setups, network and security consultations and installations as well as graphic design and website design for clients.
